It's been a while. Sorry to my minions who were left without more excuses to waste time. I am conflicted in so many ways with the whole gigantic outdoor concert series' when $ is tight. For our readers in Europe/East Coast/Canada this won't matter as much but for my fellow Californians painfully deciding whether or not to shell out the cash, like the Clash would say, should I stay or should I go?
I want to see Amy before she, well fuck it... dies, but I really don't know if she'll show up. There is a lot of good electronic music that will be present since Coachella woke up and got the 90's techno sets out and made way for bloghouse. (minus crystal method) I think this year will be all about the indie rock though. Glasvegas, We Are Scientists, and Billy Talent just because I used to be Canadian are all groups I would enjoy seeing in person. But is it worth the $100 bucks per diem plus gas? The whole Coachella "experience" is not going to cloud my judgement. It also doesn't help when we are inundated with Coachella merchandise to go along with the $5 bottled water. Is Coachella trying to go Iheartcomix style and become a label? Or will they merge with ticketmaster and live nation?
